The 2nd Annual No Small Victories Autism Awareness Event/Walk-a-thon
|
| |
Well, I have my event rescheduled and ready to roll. I am so hoping that it will mark the beginning of a fun as well as informative annual event. I am learning so much from other parents that I meet. It's funny, because I always looked at "No Small Victories" as an anthem of empowerment for our children, and never realized that it is an anthem of empowerment for us as parents as well. It is so difficult at times to see the progress we make through our tireless efforts because they usually come in such small increments, or we end up fighting the same battles over and over that you feel like you are getting no where. But the realization that in just remaining tenacious and being able to fight that same battle over and over, we have empowered ourselves and should celebrate our accomplishments. It's only a mountain if you keep looking at how much farther you have to climb...sometimes you have to stop and admire the view from where you are!
Wish me luck in my endeavors as I do in yours and please...for anyone who has purchased a Joshua book, please go to Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com or Borders.com and give me a review...I need everyone to give their view so that people can see that this is more than just a children's book series...it is a movement!
Talk to you soon.
